Snow Day(s)

What was supposed to be our first day of teaching, turned out to be a snow day, as did our second day of teaching. Informed by many teachers and Koreans alike, the amount of snowfall that happened over the past couple days is more than Pohang has seen in years and will likely see for quite some time. Our first snow day ended up being the best day we've had here so far and included new friends, drinks, food and lots of snow. We then had a second snow day because Koreans do not have snow plows, salt,  and apparently very few shovels, resulting in a mixture of  lots of ice and melting sludgy snow covered roads. Third times a charm - as it is Wednesday and this is now planned to be  our first day of teaching.

This was Christmas Eve at Kid's College. We went in for a little to do some shadowing and get in on Christmas festivities. CUTIESSS!!!! And they match. Perfect.

View from the rooftop where we made snowman and snowlady.

Some of the group.

 Building.

 Silly.

Unrelated picture from one night in downtown Pohang. Eating street food. That was a waffle folded in half with some delicious jelly like spread in the middle. Brendan had a battered and fried hotdog with potatoes on the outside. I have to get a picture of that next time.

  1. I love how all of the Canadians were the extreme snow builders and the Americans sat on the sidelines and gave direction. Ahhhh random Korean snowdays :)
